I started drinking coffee at the ripe age of Child. I remember it like it was yesterday… Standing in my grandparent’s kitchen in Beeville, TX my mother asked if I’d like to try it. She put some coffee in a red mug with a ton of milk and 6 scoops of sugar.
Of course I thought it tasted like liquid magic.
Fast forward a few years and my taste buds became a little more adult-ish as I started to hone my palette working for several coffeeshops in NYC and LA.
Now back home in TX: I set up a Bellwether Roaster—the first and only zero emission coffee roaster in Northlake, TX—and the rest is history.
Thanks for drinking,
Tony
I'm on a mission to make specialty coffee approachable
When I fell in love with coffee, it was right before the start of the third-wave movement. Unfortunately with that movement came a whole-lotta snobbery in the coffee-world.
I want this forth-wave of coffee to be the opposite. I want to focus on bringing joy to everyone's lives through coffee. I want to focus on inclusivity. I want to focus on transparency and breaking down pretentious walls.
